Apr. 27th, 2006 @ 07:53 pm Last Blog!!!
1. The most valuable aspect of this course to me, was that I was able to learn and read about a lot of different subjects because I was always forced to blog about something. Writing online made me ponder thoughts that had been resting in my head. I always feel that I am better able to express myself online, which I know sounds weird. However, I think it's because online, I actually think about what I want to say. When I blogged, I chose all my words carefully and made sure my point got across. When I speak in person, sometimes I feel like I want to say something, but there are no words to describe how I feel.
2.The most interesting thing I learned this semester was that people can actually make careers out of blogging! The amount of time people actually devote to blogging is unbelievable. To most college students, weblogging and online journals seem like just a hobby, but the fact that one can make money off it is really inspiring. It shows that you can make a job out of anything you love to do. It shows how endless the possibilities are.
3.Before entering this class, I did start blogging a little bit. I used blogspot.com because that's where all my cousins write their blogs. One of my cousins is really good at blogging and I always find his blogs to be very amusing. I can't say that I will continue blogging throughout the whole next school year, but I really do see myself sitting down over the summer and maybe posting something interesting that I've been thinking about. Blogging allows me to evaluate my lifestyle and my opinions, which sometimes I have a hard time getting a grasp of.

What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course?
Learning how to use the computer to their full blog ability. It know seems easier if I want to find something interesting to read all I have to do is go to live journal and I can find something to read.

What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester?
I never knew there we so many sites about online writing and blogs. It seems endless. I wish they would get all the old sites that no one updates anymore off. I hate when there is a site that has not been updated in a year, something bugs me

What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.) I will continue but probably not as much. I started keeping a journal again. Writing about my day and such. It is so much easier but I will keep getting on to link sites to my online journal.

I think the most valuable aspect of taking this course was learning about the weblogging community. I never knew the internet had so much to offer. I think the most interesting thing I learned this semester was how to search the internet for information. I never knew how to search on search engines effectively for information. ALso, I thought it was REALLY fun reading Joe the Peacock's book. I do no think I will delete my blog. I probably will not write in it everyday or anything, but I will most likely keep it semi-updated.

What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course?

I think the most valuable aspect was learning about the entire blogging community. I knew that many people blogged, but I did not know the extent of blogging. I definitely did not realize that some people made a living by blogging.

What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester?

The most interesting thing was learning how blogging has affected people's lives. Some early bloggers did not think that their blogs would be seen by others and ended up losing friendships or even jobs because of what they posted on their blog. Blogs have become so much more popular in the last few years that you never know who will read what you write.

What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.)

I will definitely keep my livejournal account. I am not sure how often I will update, but I like having an account. I have a few friends on livejournal outside of this class, so I want to keep up with their blogs.

1. What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course? Getting in the habit of writing on a regular basis, and learning to enjoy it. This format, with the relaxed grammar rules, takes some of the pressure off of putting your thoughts down. Every other class I've had seemed to be doing it's damndest to make writing seem like a chore.

2. What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester? The history and evolution of blogs was pretty interesting. Even though I've had internet since 94 or so, I never really paid much attentioin to blogs or journals, and kind of missed out on them when they first took off. It was cool to see what all the hub bub was about.

3. What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.) I'll keep it. I'm toying with the idea of plunking down some cash and getting a more permenant home for it. I'd like to be able to post pictures a little more easily among other things. I'm still not entirely happy with the format I've set up for myself, even though I've got a small crowd of participants. I think the focus will drift more from the "two truths" and more to just my thoughts on various subjects. It has already I suppose, but I guess I'll make it official and demote the quiz to a special feature.

1. What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course?
The most valuable aspect of taking this course would be the fact that it opened my eyes up to a new world. I never realized that this whole blogging community ever existed. Sure, I'd hear someone talk about a blog every now and then, but I never really knew how big blogging really was.

2. What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester?
I really enjoyed learning how to actually use these blogging sites. Even if I had started blogging on my own I don't think I would have been able to figure out half of the features on them. For example the rss feeds. That's a really cool feature and there is no way I would have been able to figure that out on my own.

3. What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.)
Right now I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with my blog. I'm definitely not going to delete it. My roommate is actually on live journal, so I think it will be a good way to keep in touch with him over the summer. As for updating it, it probably won't be very frequently, but you never know.

1. What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course?

The most valuable part of this class was learning what a blog was. I really had no idea before taking this class and after the first day didn't really had no idea what I had gotten myself into. It worked out well though.

2. What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester?

Realizing that there is a blog about virtually every single subject imaginable was the most interesting thing. Now when I do research for a particular topic, I know that I can possibly search for a blog about that subject.

3. What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.)

I probably won't delete my blog, but I don't know how often, if any, I will visit and/or post to it. I guess it gives me the chance to just write what I feel so I'll keep it and maybe one of these days I will post again.

1. What was the most valuable aspect of taking this course?

Learning how people use the internet to express themselves through blogs. I did not realize how many people kept blogs and how many different type of blogs there are. By looking at all the different blogs and learning where blogs started really gave the full perspective of the phenomenon of blogging. Before I thought blogging was just something random people did but now I see what a big part of the internet it is.

2. What was the most interesting thing you learned this semester?

I love technology so I thought it was cool learning the simple HTML codes. I think the most interesting thing I learned though was what all blog authors went through to keep their blog interesting/popular/fulfilling to themselves.

3. What do you see in the future for your blog? (Will it continue? Will you delete it? etc.)

I would really like to keep doing personal entries, I used to keep a paper journal and enjoyed it. I realized I type faster then I write so it makes more sense to keep in online. I think I will try to update but I probably won't tell any of my friends about it in case I have to the desire to talk about them, hahaha.
